The Caravan Gogh Trio consists of Gideon Freudmann (cellobop.com) on cello, Brian Oberlin (mandoberlin.com) on mandolin, and Jim D'Ville on ukulele. The band formed in late 2005 out of Artichoke Music in Portland, Oregon, released two CDs, and were featured in Sing Out! magazine.
The band has played a number of high profile concerts in the Pacific Northwest over the years including The Bite of Oregon, Cycle Oregon, Portland Concerts in the Parks, and once had their music featured on the hold music for the City of Portland.  Their sound is a unique collection of originals, swing, mysterioso, classical and gyspy music.

"For a music lover, listening to Caravan Gogh is a little like taking a trip around the world in a time machine." --Kelly Moyer-Wade Gresham Outlook (OR)

"Capable of extreme delicacy, Caravan Gogh can turn themselves into a symphony at a moment's notice. In the very notes they play, you can hear grins traded back and forth. You could imagine this modern string band playing 60 years ago or 60 years from now." --Jeff Rosenberg Willamette Week Portland, OR
