Join the Michigan Mandolin Orchestra for their 2024 Spring Concert Series – The Grand Rapids based MMO, a sixteen piece orchestra with mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, guitars and bass is led by Michigan’s mandoliner Brian Oberlin. They will perform the stunning Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber and an excerpt from Dvorak's New World Symphony. From the modern classical mandolin repetoire, the orchestra will play Blettenberg's 2012 epic, Journey To Greece. Rounding out the concert, the mandolinists will enlighten fans with two pieces by Italian composer Rafaele Calace and finally, music director Brian Oberlin and several members of the group will play original Dawg music from the great David Grisman.
